Nanyang Press Interviews Grand Master Tham 8th February 2013
（怡保7日讯）2013年属癸巳“水蛇”年，马来西亚政局，尤其是第13届大选虽然纷争迭起，稍后会平静趋稳，国运继因国家加速建设发展而日愈昌隆，国泰民安。
国际专业风水师谭福祥师父根据中、泰星宿命宫卦占预言，大马2013年首季将进入国会及州议会选举，虽然朝野政党之间倾轧剧增，掀起国家独立以来最剧烈选战场面，但大选过后时局会迅速趋稳。
股市波动幅度较大
他接受《南洋商报》访问说，他过去多年根据命格占卜国运及世界新格局都表现精准，全因除了根据中国卦占以及泰国命宫镜累积的智慧，也融入国家与国际时局为参考准则，天时地利与人和不可或缺。
他说，若以命宫占卜，1月至2月星迁境移，对大选气氛营造有利几率，3至4月也属适中时段，大选日期虽由国阵政府最后定论，但不宜挪后。
他认为，国内经济发展将陆续出现新项目，发展建设比比皆是；股市波动幅度比去年较大，产业市场依然受中外投资家觊觎而一枝独秀，部分的国内主要企业也在国际交易中出现易手。
“水业”较获利 需小心天灾人祸
谭福祥表示，2013年癸巳“水蛇”势对五行“水业”特别眷顾而起大作，但国人也勿轻视水蛇翻腾而水、火之灾频生，因此小心天灾人祸。
房地产注意水火灾
他表示，2013年五行中以水为主，水业充满竞争。所谓危机中有契机，水业乃有大发展空间，如渔业、船业、海产、冷冻、保险、进出口、夜店、交通运输和旅游业。
国家的土业面对极大竞争，尤其是生意活动和国家生意，其中以能源、原产农业、种植、美容、发型、设计、酒饮、餐馆、广告和传播业竞争特大。其余行业诸如房地产业怕水，流年宜注重水夹火力带来的伤害。
木业方面，2013年的木业前景看俏，木业计有出版业、服装、教育、新闻、杂志、印刷、纸业、文具书局、服务、医疗、水果、家私、园艺、农牧等比去年旺相。
火业也充满竞争，因此易守难攻，如电业、石油、电子、石油、电子、电脑、电影、酒店业等；因为今年地支属火，须小心因火带来的破坏。
以银行、金融、股票、五金、电子、汽车以及机械等为金的行业，行情可观，然而，2013年对于金行依然充斥着种种难料的挑战。

（怡保5日訊）“怡保國際真實風水”風水大師譚福祥預測說，大馬今年的政局就如破茧待飛的蠶，衝破窄小空間即振翅高飛，眼前一切豁然開朗，萬象欣欣向榮。
“不過，今年國內會有水災，一些山區可能有土崩意外，沿海地帶要防水災，高原地帶如雲頂、金馬崙要小心土崩，駕駛人士切勿開夜車到山區，以免發生意外。”
譚福祥受到本報專訪時指出，檳城、柔佛、登加樓及吉蘭丹州子民，小心一雨成災，吉打至馬六甲沿海的海濱，包括森州波德申及雪州萬津海岸，也要防範海嘯天災，以免造成嚴重人命傷亡。
屬豬人犯太歲
“整體而言，蛇年不利玩水，若要往上述地點旅遊，可選南方海濱，不選北方，以策安全。”
他說，據羅盤測出，2013年癸巳年屬水蛇年，今年太歲置在東南方，而農曆初一的財神位在正西方，貴神位則在西北方，幸運顏色是紅、白、黃及褐色4種。
“今年生肖屬豬的人會沖犯太歲，盡量避免前往東南方，屬虎和猴的人也會犯太歲，要注意諸如不和、不幸、危險、疾病和婚姻的問題會發生，屬牛和雞的人運勢在今年不錯，而屬馬的人今年正值桃花年，未婚者要多加留意身邊異性。”
金業土業前景受看好
譚福祥說，水蛇年的金、木、水、火、土五行事業中，以屬金及土業前景受看好！
他指出，金業如銀行金融、證券、五金、電子、汽車及機械等皆屬金業，前景雖好，但競爭大，從事者不宜一意孤行，應多聽取他人意見。”
“木業方面，前景大有轉機，如出版業、服裝、教育、新聞、雜誌、印刷、紙業、書局、服務、醫療、水果、家具、園藝、農牧等業務，有望大展鴻圖。”
“土業競爭大，其中以石油、電、電腦、電影、化妝、髮型設計、酒類和餐飲、廣告和傳播業競爭最大，從事者要小心謹慎，稍有差池則功虧一簣，損失慘重。”
他，水業發展空間大，若能在激烈的競爭市場開拓本身的商機，生意將蒸蒸日上，其中漁業、船業、海產冷凍、保險、進出口、夜場及旅遊業都有良好發展。
他也說，火業宜守，不宜攻，與火有關的行業在2013年充滿競爭，從事者切勿操之過急，恐防虧損，蛇年地支屬火，如小心火災，所帶來的損失。
掛高僧念經銅符保平安
譚福祥說，今年的財運亨通和名成利就方位在東北，名譽成就方位在北方，未來、良機和繁榮方位在南方，文昌、人緣及姻緣方位在東南方，官職與權威方位在西北方。
他指出，至于太歲位在東南（142.5度至157.5度）、三煞位在東（67.5度至112.5度），五黃位在中宮，歲破位處1/3北（322.5度至337.5度）和疾病位在西南（202.5度至247.5度），爭執位在東（67.5度至112.5度）及攻擊和暴力位在西（247.5度至292.5度）。
他補充，主人家若要趨吉避凶，可以懸掛經高僧念經的銅符，並有保護闔府平安、財運亨通和辟邪擋煞之用。
股票宜投資產業股
譚福祥指出，蛇年經濟較2012年有起色，百業待興，投資得宜，欲在投資領域有收獲者，可投資產業市場，股票也宜投資產業股為主。
他說，大馬一些大企業會出現易手交易，但不影響小市民生活，身為企業掌舵人，蛇年好風水磁場的方位是西南方，這是成功及財富要點，也可選北方的方位作辦公室，但要面向北方，可起旺財和旺人緣作用，令交際更上一層樓。
祈求政治穩定
★拿督鄭可揚（霹靂州務大臣顧問）
希望蛇年如風水堪輿預測般政治穩定，因為政局動盪不堪，外來投資卻步，影響經濟及民生，衍生許多社會問題。
作為從政者，最重要是服務社稷，讓百姓安居樂業，所以祈求政治穩定就是蛇年的心願。
突破現有發展
★朱健成（怡保市議員）
希望市容在新一年能夠有更大改進，包括在經濟及基設發展方面能夠突破現狀，旅遊、房地產投資業務，也能夠有更大的發展空間及良好投資前景。

NEW STRAITS TIMES INTERVIEW 23/02/12: A MAN'S DESTINY
IT was early 1970s and Stanley Tham Fook Cheong had just returned from Australia with a degree in accountancy. He later on settled down and run his own firm. A bright future beckoned for the young man.
But an encounter with Thai astrology master Pramaha Arjan Piyawanno changed his life forever.
“I have always had a special interest in astrology — the study of stars, planets and the likes — from the early days in my hometown in Kampar.
“I would read the horoscopes but merely out of fun and nothing else. I didn’t take them seriously,” he says.
Prahama whom he met in 1978 however, changed his view on astrology altogether.
“He taught me the power of astrology, the mythical and spiritualism — matters which I didn’t believe in before.”
Tham was taken in by Pramaha’s wise demeanour.
“The man was simply amazing. He not only gave you sound advice but was also able to consistently make accurate predictions, given the correct date, month and year, the hour and minutes. There were many instances where what he said about me and my friends were true. To me, he was a true astrology master.
According to Tham, Pramaha also said that he would not be practising accounting forever. That he would meet someone who would change his life forever and would embark on things related to helping people.
“At that time, I was quite sceptical. I was already an accountant and quite successful too. Why would I want to do something else?” he reminisces.
As fate would have it, Tham later met feng shui master Wong Hwa Yi, who eventually bequeathed his knowledge to Tham.
“He was a client. A day before he went back to China, Wong said I was ‘the chosen one’,” he adds.
Tham thought long and hard. The words of his astrology master echoed in his mind. He was convinced that feng shui was his destiny. He later got his wife’s consent to study geomancy.
For the next eight years, Tham became Wong’s student. At the end of it, he became so well-versed in it that he became a master feng shui exponent himself. The rest, as they say, is history.
Unlike some feng shui practitioners who use ornaments such as animal models and coins to bring good luck, Tham only gives advice, based on what he feels and sees.
For him, feng shui energy should only come from the environment.
Like all feng shui masters, Tham uses a Chinese compass called lo-pan but it is special to him as he inherited it from his master.
He will normally bring along this compass to a client’s house or other location to study the feng shui elements there.
“One cannot dispense feng shui advice by studying pictures or plans of buildings,” he adds.
Tham bases his advice on the cycle of five elements — metal, wood, water, fire and earth — and also on astrology.
According to him, anyone can become a feng shui practitioner, provided that he has faith in it and is clean inside and out.
Since feng shui is about helping people in many ways, like warding off accidents and bad luck, bringing better health and happiness to one’s family, the practitioner possess good traits himself.
Incidentally, Tham has apparently made accurate predictions about some Hong Kong and Taiwan movie stars and politicians, even the political future of former Thai Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra.
-What’s in store for the Dragon Year
“Those born in the Year of the Dragon are ambitious, full of energy and will be successful in their undertakings,” says Tham.
They are brave and unafraid of challenges, he adds.
He adds that some industries will prosper, especially those in the Wood element, for instance, textiles, clothing, education and newspapers.
The Earth industries that will face obstacles include mining, quarry, farming, property and construction. Industries linked to the Fire element such as electricity, oil, alcohol, fashion and computer-related fields will not do well.
Facing the same fate are those Metal element industries, for example, banking, finance, motor and automobile.
The Water industries, meanwhile, will do quite well, especially those related to tourism, transport, fishery , seafood and import/export. By and large, it’s also a good year to switch jobs, if one’s astrological signs are favourable.

LOOKING at the characteristics of the mythical dragon creature, one that is strong, dynamic and competitive, it would be understandable for many to assume a smooth-sailing and hopeful 2012.
However, feng shui masters have advised caution and the need for discernment as the Chinese community prepares their celebration to usher in the Year of the Dragon.

On the general election, Tham said there would not be any social unrest.
However, he declined to say what the results would be and would only say that the country would see more cooperation by the end of the year.
“It does not matter who the government is, but calculations show that it will become better and more efficient,” he said.
Using Thailand astrology and the pa kua for his predictions, he advises those born in the Year of the Dog to be extra careful and carry amulets or charms with them when going out of their home to avoid any misfortune.
“This year does not bode too well for them, which is why I hope they will consult experienced feng shui masters to calculate their good days and avoid mishaps,” he said.
He also encouraged everyone to put up red, yellow or maroon colours in their houses and on their doors and windows to inject vitality into their surroundings as this year is the Year of the Water Dragon, thus lacking the fire element.
“The lack of the fire element means that we need to avoid white or black colours and there should be more sunlight at home to balance out the yin energy,” he added.
Tham said it would be prosperous to face the east direction this year, particularly for scholars, students and the business community, while the south-east direction is to be avoided as much as possible.
“That is the direction that is against the wrath of the Duke of Jupiter (Tai Sui) which will bring failure and disappointment to those who face it.
“On the other hand, if they turned around and looked towards the opposite direction, they would have strong support behind every thing that they did,” he advised.
